A few months after purchasing my new restaurant, I decided to meet with three of my associates, Michel, Rex and Duffy, and talk about the challenges of owning a restaurant. We quickly realized that we had similar problems and that by working together we could collectively increase our opportunities. So, we decided to organize the "Wood River Fine Dining Association". We invited the owners of the best restaurants in the Valley to a meeting. The WRFD was formed in May 2007.

We started with simple objectives, "to make every dining experience the best possible for every customer," "to increase the viability of each restaurant in the Association," and "to promote and grow the Wood River Valley as a culinary destination."

We are reviewing a number of joint business ventures to increase our customers, to attract businesses from other Idaho communities, and to coordinate restaurant operations to better serve our customers. We've already agreed to several operational changes that will have significant benefits to each restaurant and it's ability to bring you the finest dining experience possible.

And, to help you pick one of the top sixteen restaurants in the Valley, we've designed our own guide. Here, you can read a short description of each restaurant and highlights on the food, drink and local specialties. You will find a variety of restaurant types, aprices and atmosphere . . . but, they are all part of the Wood River Fine Dining Association . . . and the best restaurants in the Valley.
